Center for Architectural Documents Prospectus

The Center for Architectural Documents will be a complex for archiving and providing access to study project of students and graduates both in print and electronically. This center will be a scientific database in architecture and will interact with other similar academic centers to promote and deepen architectural knowledge and accumulate scientific information in fields related to architecture. It will have a “Iranian Architecture” approach, especially with a look at “Desert Architecture” of Iran.

Goals and Duties of the Center:

• Collecting, arrangement, and classification of documents necessary for teaching and research in architecture
• Attempting to expand cooperation with national and international research and executive centers
• Gathering a rich collection of information resources in architecture, especially Iran and marginal areas of deserts architecture

Missions of the Center for Architectural Documents

The center for Architectural Documents has three main missions:

1- Collecting documents

2- Preserving and maintaining the documents

3- Publishing and providing access to such documents
